Tapestry 5
Abstract
Apache Tapestry
is an open-source, component-based web application framework for Java. It features concise templates, minimal amounts of Java code, high performance, and important productivity features such as live class reloading.
In this talk, I'll introduce Tapestry 5 and explain its innovative approach to build fast, complex, reliable applications from simple and reusable components. I will overview the fundamental concepts behind Tapestry 5 and show how to create web applications without any knowledge of the Servlet API and Ajax. We'll explore how Tapestry boosts the productivity of Java developers by minimizing the deployment time and providing excellent error reports. You will also learn meta-programming with Tapestry and how it reduces the amount of Java code you need to write. Along the way, I'm going to show a lot of demos and share my real-world experience in Tapestry.
